The philosophy of all our courses is to offer creative and managerial development and know how alongside a strong vocational approach. The expertise of our highly experienced industry professionals in the heart of the Parisian capital of Fashion ensures that students are kept aware of changing demands and opportunities within the Fashion Industry.
Many of our staff combine teaching with careers within the industry. This allows them to pass on invaluable ‘insider’ knowledge to students, on the latest technologies, techniques and trends. Buyers and merchandisers, marketing managers, human resources’ heads of department, Public relations teams alongside academic specialists compose Mod’Art’s Management department staff.
The Academic committee with Patrice de Place as it’s experienced President is made up of well known professionals from the Luxury and Fashion sector as well as university faculty from Mod’Art International’s University partners from Perpignan and Toulouse University.
The elaboration, control and validation of the programmes from the first year entry class through to MBA level is viewed with an expert and professional eye by the Committee on a regular basis. There is a constant need to ensure that programmes are adapted to the new needs of the ever changing industry.
The Management department deals with the recrutement of staff following the new needs for each programme, organises class meetings, coordinates the methods used, conducts surveys with the students and firms that receive trainees from the school. Naturally the department organises tests, exams and evaluations to ensure a regular accumulation of knowledge and professional know how. Systematic semestrial exams plus regular evaluation including internship reports, oral presentations, reports and dissertations are part of the routine for all the students. Students are received regularly to discuss their personal professional projects, counselled and guided to help them to give their best performance both in class and in their work experiences.
Progressively our students reduce the general business syllabus to reinforce their professional backgrounds and in particular the rich professional environment in Paris related to Fashion and Luxury products. Each year classes and work experience alternate as a constant reminder of the fashion calendar which is a way of life in the sector. Their frequent contacts with the Fashion world allow for an accumulation of experiences to add to their CVs improving their chances to find employment quickly once qualified.
